AUGUSTA — Scott E. "Scotty" Kittredge, 85, of Brookside Avenue, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at the Maine Veterans' Home, in Augusta.
He was born in Augusta, Oct. 9, 1916, the son of Frank and Florence (Scott) Kittredge.
He graduated from Cony High School, class of 1935, and served in the Army during World War II. Scotty worked for Central Maine Power Co. for 37 years until his retirement in 1980. He was a 40-year member of the Central Maine Power Old Timers Club. He was a life member of the Alfred Maxwell American Legion Post 40, Winthrop. He was a charter member of the Dirigo Refrigeration Society, and enjoyed working on electrical appliances and playing cribbage.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine W. Kittredge, of Augusta; a sister, Florence Jones, of Massachusetts, and several nieces.
Relatives and friends may visit 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Augusta.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to the charity of one's choice.

WINTHROP — Reginald Scott Rose, 90, of Narrows Pond Road died Thursday, July 3, 2003, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta.
He was born in Canton on Feb. 22, 1913, the son of Winfield and Bertha (Reed) Rose. He grew up in Canton, where he attended schools and graduated from Canton High School in 1932.
Reg served in the Army, Company B, 1892nd Engineer Battalion, from May 7, 1942, to Jan. 16, 1946, as a construction equipment operator and first-class gunner. He was honorably discharged.
He worked as a bulldozer operator, building many of Maine's roads until his retirement in 1977.
After his retirement, Reg enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. During fishing season, he could be found at one of his favorite spots on Maranacook Lake or Narrows Pond.
Reg was known for his elaborate vegetable garden and often could be found puttering in his yard. Even at age 90, he enjoyed a freedom and independence that seldom is achieved at that age. His quick wit and memorable stories will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. He was known for his strong Maine constitution and determination.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Katharine Dailey Rose; infant son Reginald Rose; a brother, Clifford Rose; a sister, Pauline (Rose) Therrien; brother-in-law Joseph Clinton; and a son-in-law, Stephen Kelley.
He is survived by his daughter, Regina L. Kelley of Winthrop; two sisters, Winifred Rose and Helen (Rose) Clinton of Canton; a brother, Shirley Rose of Canton; three granddaughters, Kimberly (Kelley) Dugal and her husband, John-Paul, of Winthrop, Kristen (Kelley) Ross and her husband, Christopher, of Terryville, Conn., and MacKenzie Kelley of Dover, N.H. He is also survived by a nephew, nieces and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held 3-5 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 6, with the Rev. Kim Murphy officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Glenside Cemetery, Winthrop.

WEST GARDINER -- Scott P. Frati, 42, of West Gardiner, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at his home.
He was born Feb. 16, 1961, in Bangor, the son of Peter and Arlene (Lawrence) Frati. He grew up in Pittsfield and lived there for several years.
Scott was known as a fun person to be around. He found something funny in everything. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather and friend.
He enjoyed selling on eBay and using his computer. As a younger man, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Scott is survived by his wife, Darlene (Rollins) Frati; his mother, Arlene Frati of Pittston; his father, Peter Frati of Brunswick; a daughter, Christina Langley, of Plymouth; two sisters, Debra Gillis of Seattle and Pamela Eggemeyer of Golden, Colo.; a granddaughter, Autumn Marie Bonneville; mother-in-law Lorraine Rollins of Randolph; his dogs, Enya and Rocky; and his best friend, Paul Girard and his wife, Mary, and son, Joseph.
Relatives and friends may visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 68 Second St., Hallowell. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, in Palmyra.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the homeless shelter or soup kitchen of your choice.
