Gabriel G. "Buck" Jackson Obituary (1915 - 2015)

WAYNE—Gabriel G. “Buck” Jackson, 99, of Wayne, died May 1, 2015 at Orchard Park in Farmington. He was born November 18, 1915 in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey the son of Edward and Edna (Romaine) Jackson. Buck grew up in New Jersey and was an outstanding athlete in many sports. He loved hunting, golf and bowling and played semi-professional baseball and football in his younger years. In more recent times, he enjoyed golfing with his son and friends at Springbrook and always enjoyed a vegetable garden. Buck worked for Dupont in the explosives industry and retired to Maine in 1973. Mr. Jackson was predeceased by his wife, Gladys in 1995. He is survived by his two sons, Edwin Jackson and his wife, Dot, of Wayne and Ronald Jackson and his wife, Joy, of Rutherford, NJ; his grandchildren, Perry Jackson and his wife, Kim, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Sandra Jackson, of Scarborough, Tracy Truesdell and her husband, Don, of Shoreham, NY and Ryan Jackson and his wife, Erica, of Totowa, NJ. His great-grandchildren, Clint, Kyle, Rachel, Katherine, Jenny, Sarah, Reghan, Morgan, Hayden, Brooke and Cooper. There will be no services at this time. Arrangements are in the care of Roberts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop.
