Harland L. Lindholm Obituary (1932 - 2016)

WINTHROP ~ Harland L. Lindholm, 83, of Winthrop, died Saturday September 17, 2016 at Heritage Rehabilitation and Living Center in Winthrop. He was born in Winthrop, December 22, 1932 the son of Alfred and Gertrude (Moore) Lindholm. Harland grew up in Winthrop and was a 1952 graduate of Winthrop High School. He entered the U.S. Army shortly after and served from 1952 to 1956. In 1956, he married Maxine Brawn and they shared 54 years together, before her death in 2010. Harland was employed at Tex Tech in Monmouth for 38 years, retiring in 1995. He always enjoyed fishing and loved spending time at his Camp in Caratunk. He was a very devoted father to his family and always put his family first. He enjoyed taking the family on camping trips to Mount Blue or going to the coast for the day was what he loved. Mr. Lindholm was predeceased by his wife, Maxine and his brother, Douglas. He is survived by his son, Eric Lindholm and his partner, Carol Hodsdon, of Winthrop; his daughters, Debra Delisle, of Winthrop and Linda Cotnoir and her husband, Jeff, of Augusta; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at the Glenside Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Saturday September 24, 2016. Memorial donations may be made in Harland’s name to Hooked on Fishing, C/O IF&W, 284 State Street SHS 41, Augusta, Maine 04333-0041.
