Joanne Elizabeth Boyd Hallum Obituary (1942 - 2013)

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. -- Joanne Elizabeth Boyd 'Jody' Hallum, 70, passed away Jan. 25, 2013, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was born March 15, 1942, in Portland, a daughter of Charles and Margaret Boyd. Jody retired from the state of Maine after 28 years of service. She then moved to Mountain Home with her husband and best friend, Kenneth Hallum. They were blessed with 26 years of marriage and loved traveling around the United States. Jody was the beloved mother of Paul and Pam Partridge, and devoted grandmother to Jessica and Jeremy Killam. She loved her family and surrounded herself with great friends. Jody always had a smile on her face and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Jody is survived by her husband, Kenneth Hallum, of Mountain Home; her son, Paul Partridge, and his wife, Janice, of Candia, N.H.; her daughter, Pamela Partridge, and her fiance, Bob Rideout, of Whitefield; one stepson, Kenneth Hallum, and his wife, of Santa Barbara, Calif.; her two sisters, Eleanor Gordon and her husband, Lee, of Winthrop, and Margo Boyd and her husband, Steve Bicknell, of Holden; two grandchildren, Jessica and Jeremy Killam; and four step-grandchildren, Michelle (and her two children), Melissa, Conner and Tanner. Her son and daughter wish to thank all the hospice nurses, and especially thank their stepfather, Ken. They provided an invaluable service which allowed her to be in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity .
