Kilburn A. Shaw Obituary (1916 - 2013)

LEESBURG, FLORIDA- Kilburn A. Shaw, 96, of Leesburg, FL and formerly of Winthrop, ME, passed away on January 6, 2013 in Tavares, Florida. He was born in Winthrop on April 8, 1916, the son of Frederick and Zella (Murray) Shaw. Kilburn graduated from Winthrop High School, class of 1934, and on June 2, 1938 he married Lucille Frost in the Winthrop Congregational Church. He enlisted in the United States Army, where he served in active duty during World War II from May 31, 1945 until his honorable discharge on July 21, 1946, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Kilburn leaves behind his wife of 74 years, Lucille Frost Shaw, of Leesburg, FL, his daughter, Shirley Shaw, of E. Hampton, CT and his grandson, Michael Shaw, of E. Hartford, CT.
