Marion M. Palleschi Frost Obituary (1931 - 2014)

Marion M. Palleschi Frost Winthrop - Marion M. Palleschi Frost, 82, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Marion was born on July 24, 1931 in Winthrop, the daughter of Loreto and Rita Alden Palleschi. She attended Winthrop schools and was a graduate of Winthrop High School. On June 29, 1956, she married LeRoy Frost, her husband of 54 years, until his death in 2010. Marion worked most of her adult life, most recently for the State of Maine Department of Labor, until her retirement. She enjoyed music, gardening, and crafts of many kinds, including knitting, rug hooking, ceramics and counted, cross-stitch, among others. Many of her creations can be found in her home and the homes of her loved ones. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved to attend and be a part of her children’s and grandchildren’s events and activities. Marion also enjoyed traveling, making trips to Yellowstone National Park, The Canadian Rockies and Branson, Missouri. She was especially happy to travel with her sister to Italy. During this trip, she was able to visit her father’s childhood home and meet her Italian relatives. Besides her parents and her husband, Marion was predeceased by her sister, Nita P. McKenney. She is survived by her children, Robert L. Frost and Robin Ouellette, her husband Steve, and grandchildren Jill and Kelsey Ouellette, all of Winthrop; her brothers and sisters, Lottie Carlson of Manchester, Everett Palleschi and his wife Lillian of Monmouth, Hartley Palleschi of Winthrop, Joseph Palleschi and his partner, Greg Hall of Mt. Vernon, and Elda Sanborn and her husband Dana of Tewksbury, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 4:00 -6:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop where a celebration of Marion’s life will be held Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Glenside Cemetery in the spring.
