Rachel I Clark Obituary (1948 - 2017)

Winthrop- Rachel I. Clark, 69, passed away Tuesday, March 21, at the Heritage Rehabilitation & Living Center in Winthrop. Rachel was born on February 19, 1948 to Elmo (Bud) and Rose Clough of Winthrop. She graduated from Winthrop High School in 1966 and recently attended her 50th class reunion. After graduating, Rachel spent many years raising her children and building a loving home. She enjoyed spending time working in her many flower gardens and tending to her lawn. She spent several years working at the Travel Lodge in Augusta and the Heritage Rehabilitation & Living Center in Winthrop. She was a faithful New England Patriots fan and looked forward to watching the weekly football games with her family. Last fall, her dream came true when she was able to attend a game at Foxborough with her daughter. Rachel could fill a room with her infectious laugh and was always friendly and helpful. She was loved by everyone lucky enough to know her. She is predeceased by her parents, Bud Clough and Rose Clough and her brother, Elmo Jr (Sonny) Clough. She is survived by her son Robert Clark Jr and his wife Kristie, her daughter Bridget (Clark) Shacter and her husband Michael and four grandchildren; Rob and Bailey Clark, Drew and Riley Shacter. At Rachel’s request, a private graveside service will be held in the spring at Glenside Cemetery, Turkey Lane, Winthrop.
