Scott Arthur Everatt Obituary (1955 - 2015)

AUGUSTA - Scott Arthur Everatt of Augusta passed away on Saturday April 18, 2015, after a short stay at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston ME. Scott was born in Burlington Vermont on August 5th 1955, the son of Betsy Ann Ross and John Donald Everatt. He moved to Monmouth Maine and attended local schools before joining the Navy in 1975. Scott served 2 years in the Navy and returned home to Maine in 1977. Scott was well known for his mechanical skills, which resulted in many years of employment in the Parts & Service Departments at Nichol's Pontiac and Charlie's Motor Mall. He continued his mechanical work over the last 10 years, doing small engine repair and maintenance. Scott was predeceased by his parents, Betsy in 2000, and John in 2014. Scott is survived by his children, Amanda Everatt, of West Gardiner, Maine; Scott Ross Everatt of Fort Lewis, Washington; Benjamin Everatt of Augusta Maine, and Allison Everatt-Marsh of Phippsburg Maine; sister Martha Everatt-St.Pierre and husband Phil of Wayne Maine; brother Randy Everatt and wife Melissa of Maitland, Florida; step mother Susan Everatt of Altamonte Springs, Florida; and step father Robert Waterman of Monmouth, Maine. Scott always lived his life in the moment, and greatly enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He had many hobbies, but his favorites were Jeeping, Motorcycle trips, NASCAR Races, and boating on the Kennebec River. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful staff at CMMC, as well as the doctors, nurses and staff in the Intensive Care Unit, for the care and compassion that they showed to Scott during his stay. A memorial service will be held at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta, Maine on Thursday May 28th at 2pm.
