Susanne Marie Stollenwerck Obituary (1942 - 2016)

BELGRADE ~ Susanne Marie Stollenwerck, 74, of Belgrade, died unexpectedly Wednesday May 11, 2016 at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. She was born in Queens, New York, January 20, 1942 the daughter of Jerome and Mildred (Oswald) Ricci. She grew up and was educated in Long Island, New York. She moved to Maine in 1975 and has made her home here ever since. Susanne enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends and was a master at word search and crossword puzzles. Above all else, she loved her family and will be fiercely missed by all of them. Mrs. Stollenwerck is survived by her daughters, AnnMarie Stevens, of Belgrade and Rosemarie Chaput and her husband, Shane, of Garrison, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Jerome Stevens and his wife, Meredith, of Birmingham, AL, Katie Stevens and fianc, Derek Lund, of South Gardiner, Kelsey Small and her husband, Joe, of Chelsea, Travis Chaput, of Garrison, MN and Meredith Chaput, of Garrison, MN; great-grandchildren, Mallory and Luke Stevens, of Birmingham, AL and Vivian and Avery Lund, of South Gardiner and her step-great-grandchildren, Savannah, Cole, and Blake Small, of Chelsea. A graveside service will be held at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Belgrade on Wednesday May 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Belgrade Fire and Rescue Department, 6 Manchester Road, Belgrade, Maine 04917 Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, One Church Street, Augusta.
