BELFAST ? Alice H. Helm, 89, died Tuesday October 29, 2002 at Harbor Hill Assisted Living Center in Belfast. She was born in Head Tide, March 27, 1913, the daughter of Mace and Alice (Hopkins) Hall. She graduated from Coburn Classical Institute in Waterville in 1932 and was a life member of Mount Zircon Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, in Rumford. She is survived by her husband, William F. Helm of Belfast; two sons, Bernard Helm of Rocky Mount, N.C., and William F. Helm Jr.; her sisters, Gladys Jenkins of Livonia, Mich., and Eva Dotzel of Holiday, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Valerie Flynn, Karen Gallagher, Gretchen Walton, William F. Helm III, Joshua D. Helm, Andria L. Helm and Damariscotta L. Helm; two great-grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews and a cousin. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the First Baptist Church, 95 High St., Belfast. Burial will follow in the Alna Cemetery.
