SEARSMONT - Alyssa M. Savage, 19, of Augusta and Searsmont, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. She was born in New London, Conn., on Nov. 14, 1989, the daughter of John and Naomi (McKenney) Savage. Alyssa attended Cony High School and had worked at McDonald's on Bangor Street. She enjoyed reading, going to the movies, listening to music and, more importantly, being with her friends. She also had a great sense of humor and laughter, and loved her dog, Leroy Brown Savage. She is survived by her mother, Naomi Savage, of Searsmont; her father, John Savage and his wife, Ramona, of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother, John Savage Jr. and sister Jessica Savage, both of Indianapolis; maternal grandparents Gail and Martin Noble, of East Winthrop; paternal grandfather George Savage and his wife, Joyce, of Houston; paternal grandmother Rosemarie Savage, of Indianapolis; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of Alyssa's life will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta.
