1979-2003 WINSLOW ? Amanda Linn Gagne, 24, of Winslow passed away in her sleep on Aug. 30, 2003. She was born Aug. 24, 1979 in Augusta, to Diane M. Gagne Wentworth and Arthur C. Tillson. Amanda attended Winslow High School. Amanda was many things to many people: sister, friend, daughter, granddaughter and niece. She filled all these roles with a beaming smile and compassionate nature. Amanda will leave a void in many lives. No longer will we see her ready smile, love of life, and compassionate nature. God called her home before we were ready to let her go. She touched many lives and all are better for having known her. Amanda was predeceased by her brother, Eric A. Tillson; her uncle, Mark Gagne; Grampy Wentworth, Great-grampy and Grammy Reynolds; and her beloved pet, dog 'Katt.' She is survived by her mother, Diane Wentworth of Winslow; her two dads, Douglas Wentworth of Winslow and Arthur Tillson of Randolph; maternal grandparents Nancy and Steve Reynolds of Winslow; paternal grandparents Gus and Effie Tillson of Sidney; great-grandparents Earlene Trask of Augusta and Gladys 'Grammy Brock' Ginn of Stockton Springs; a brother, Jacob Tillson; and several people who were very special to her, her very special sidekick, cousin Buffy Jo Quimby, and very special friend Charlie Fitch; and also Uncle Jack, who was very special to her. She is also survived by a multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of her life will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 6, at North Vassalboro Baptist Church, Route 32, in North Vassalboro, with a fellowship following the service. There will be no visiting hours. The burial service will be at a later date at Reynolds Hill Cemetary in Sidney. Donations may be made to the Waterville Humane Shelter, or to the family. Arrangements are being made by Knowlton and Hewins in Augusta.
