MANCHESTER - Andres M. 'Andy' Estevez, 85, of Estates Drive went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at Maine-General Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was born in Havana, Cuba, on Jan. 27, 1924, the son of Andres and Irene (Ilzarbe) Estevez. Andy had worked as housing supervisor at Harvard University for many years until he retired in 1990 and moved to Readfield. He was a member of the Belmont Masonic Lodge in Massachusetts and the South Parish Congregational Church in Augusta. Family was very important to him. He loved to attend family gatherings and spend time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Red Sox. He was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Diaz. Andy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carmen Estevez, of Manchester; two daughters, Carmen E. Squiers and her husband, Ronald, of Readfield, and Gloria E. DiMauro and her husband, Anthony, of Billerica, Mass.; a sister, Mercedes Ferrer, of Miami, Fla.; four grandchildren, Lisa Squiers, of Miami Beach, Fla., Greg S. Squiers, of North Berwick, Laura DiMauro, of Billerica, and her fianc?, Joseph Martinez, of Lowell, Mass., and Kristy Beaulieu and her husband, Ryan, of Westbrook; also, several nieces and nephews. Visiting will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta, where a celebration of life will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Rev.
