WINDSOR - Barbara Anne Burnell Millett, 75, formerly of Augusta, passed away on May 28, 2008, after a long illness. She was born Sept. 15, 1932, the daughter of George and Geraldine Burnell. Barbara graduated from Deering High School in 1950 and attended Massachusetts Medical Center to become an X-ray technician. She worked at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and Maine Medical Center in Portland. Later, she became the office manager of Bunker and Savage Architects. She was a former member of the Vassalboro School Board and the Historical Society. She was a supporter of the Kennebec Valley YMCA and a member of St. Barnabas Church, Augusta. Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Edward. She is survived by her son, Jonathan and his wife, Rachel, of Windsor and their children, Chenango, Matthew and Audrea; her daughter, Suzanne Bullett and her husband, Terence, and grandchildren William, Peter, Sarah and Amy, all of Berthoud, Colo.; a sister, Sandra Purvis, of Naples, Fla.; a brother, George Burnell, of Portland; sister-in-law Priscilla Belanger, of Fairfax, Va.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, at St. Barnabas Church. Burial will be in the Cross Hill Cemetery, Vassalboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Church, 60 Bangor St., Augusta 04330.
