Bertrand Robitaille Obituary (1924 - 2009)

AUGUSTA - Bertrand 'Bert' Robitaille, 84, of Augusta passed away peacefully Thursday, June 18, 2009, at MaineGeneral Medical Center. Bert was born in Lewiston on Dec. 27, 1924, the son of Alford and Elizabeth (Albert) Robitaille. Bert will be remembered for his love of animals, babies and Santa Claus. Bert enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and time spent alone. Bert grew to love the staff at Capital City Manor, the only family he had. Survivors include friends Linda Harriman, of Gardiner, Belinda St. Peter, of Vassalboro, Amy London, of Oakland, Monique Ricard, of Augusta, Vicki Look, of Augusta, Jodie Niles, of Gardiner, April St. Peter, of Augusta, Amanda St. Peter, of Vassalboro, Tyson Leavitt, of Pittson, Michele Pace, of Chelsea, Kristyn McNear, of Winthrop, Angela Bragg, of Augusta, Alicia Bickford, of Augusta, and Jessie McKenzie, of Farmingdale; and all the clients of Capital City Manor. We will always remember him blowing us kisses, the 'I love you' sigh and 'I can't talk.' Rest in peace, faithful friend. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta.
