VASSALBORO - Beverly Irene Cummings, 70, died Monday, January 29th, 2007 at her home in Vassalboro with her family by her side. She was born in Manchester on March 4th, 1936. Beverly was employed in private duty nursing for many years before managing the Dollar Store in Waterville for the last twelve years or more. She enjoyed her family?s 4th of July outings, the Fryburg Fair, camping and helping others. She also loved to read. Beverly is survived by her husband, Clyde Cummings Jr., of Vassalboro; her son, Lee Cummings & his wife, Trudy, of Buxton; her two daughters, Belinda ?Sissy? Lanphier & her husband, Galen, of Waterville and Eva Poulin & her husband, Ray, of Vassalboro; two brothers, Fred ?Buddy? Votoe of Augusta and Jimmy Howard of Winslow; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, as well as many adopted children and grandchildren. A memorial celebration of Beverly?s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3rd, at the Center Vassalboro Baptist Church on the corner of Crowell Hill and Cross Hill Roads in Vassalboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Beverly?s memory may be made to either the family to help defray expenses c/o Clyde Cummings Jr., 153 Crowell Hill Rd., Vassalboro, ME 04989 or to the Waterville Humane Society, 120 Drummond Ave., Waterville, ME 04901.
