WEST GARDINER - Carol A. Eppinger, 57, of Mammie Way, formerly of Brockton, Mass., died Monday, Jan. 7, 2004, at Heritage Manor in Winthrop. She was born in Braintree, Mass., on Jan. 13, 1946, the daughter of Carl and Elin Peterson. Carol graduated from Braintree High School and had worked for 26 years as a certified nurse's aide at the Brockton Hospital. She enjoyed her dog, Daisy, and being with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Dieter Eppinger, and a brother, Richard Peterson. She is survived by two sons, Marc Eppinger and his wife, Evelyn, of West Gardiner, and Eric Eppinger, also of West Gardiner; a sister, Laney Loud of Lunenburg, Mass.; a sister-in-law, Judy Peterson of Wareham, Mass.; three grandchildren, Lucinda, Andrew and Lucille Rose Eppinger; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no visiting or services at this time. Burial will be at a later date in the Veterans National Cemetery of Massachusetts, Bourne, Mass.
