Obituary

WINTHROP ~ Clarence Vernon Croxford, Jr., 70, of Winthrop, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday February 22, 2015. He was born in Gardiner November 7, 1944 the son of Clarence, Sr. and Charlotte (Carlton) Croxford. He grew up in Whitefield and attended Erskine Academy. Clarence was self-employed most of his life as a marine worm digger. He also had a great interest in old cars. He was known to swap one for another, sometimes in the same week. He was especially proud of his 1965 Ford Galaxy. Clarence was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Carol Hall. He is survived by his long-time companion, Jean Kirkpatrick; his son, Clint Croxford; daughters, April Brown, Carrie-Lynn Croxford and Karen Croxford; brothers, Craig Croxford, of Augusta, Clark Croxford and his wife, Karleen, of Richmond, Chad Croxford and his companion, Linda, of Randolph, and Christopher Croxford, of Pittston, and two sisters, Carleen Prout and her husband, Joe, of Richmond and Cindy Gagnon, of Randolph. There will be no service at this time. Arrangements are in the care of Roberts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop.
