LEWISTON -- Connie P. Dion, 83, of College Street died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston. She was born in Little Rock, Ark., on Oct. 11, 1920. She graduated from Little Rock High School and, on April 4, 1944, married Joseph Dion in Little Rock. They moved to Kansas and then Lewiston in 1945, and in 1968 moved to Winthrop. Connie enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling with her husband. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Winthrop. She was predeceased by a son, Randy Dion in 1992. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Dion of Lewiston; two daughters, Dorothy Dion of Sparks, Nev., and Carolyn Sacks of Scarborough; a nephew, Dewitt Russell of Moore, Okla.; four grandchildren, Jay Sacks, Jeff Sacks, Brooke Phillips and Zachary Phillips; and a great-granddaughter, Cali. There will be no visiting at this time. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Church, Winthrop, with the Rev. Brian Blanchette, celebrant. Burial will be in Glenside Cemetery, Winthrop. Arrangements are in the care of Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop.
