READFIELD - Deanna Lynn Allen passed away Feb. 10, 2010, at her home in Readfield. She was born on Dec. 24, 1970, in a Christmas Eve blizzard to George and Claire (Hunt) Allen. A lifelong Readfield resident, she graduated from Maranacook Community High School in 1989. Emergency service was Deanna's life. She served with the Winthrop Ambulance for 20 years, was a current member of the Fayette Fire Department and a past member of the Readfield Fire Department, and recently had served with Mount Vernon Rescue. She was predeceased by her mother, Claire. Deanna is survived by her father, George Allen, of Readfield; a sister, Kathie Adams and her husband, Mark, of Hanover, Mass.; a brother, William Allen and his wife, Martha, of Pittston; and four nieces, Abigail Adams, Erica Adams, Rebecca Allen and Emily Allen. The family would like to express its thanks to Winthrop Ambulance and the Readfield Fire Department for their quick response. A graveside service is planned for the spring and will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Fayette Fire Department, 2475 Main St., Fayette, ME 04349.
