WAYNE - Dianne M. Dakin, 69, of New Sandwich Road died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at the Hospice House in Auburn. She was born in Gardiner on April 28, 1938, the daughter of Donald L. and Lillian (Taylor) Ingham. Dianne grew up in Winthrop and graduated from Winthrop High School. At the age of 20, she started working for Tex-Tech Industries in North Monmouth. After working for 42 years, Dianne retired in 2000. She enjoyed collecting antiques, dolls and Depression glass. She would also sell books at the Red Roof Flea Market in Leeds. She is survived by a son, Glenn Dakin and his wife, Angel, of North Monmouth; a daughter, Amy Glidden and her husband, Russ, of Manchester, N.H.; six grandchildren, Joel Dakin, Josh Dakin, Samantha Glidden, Sasha DeLorme, Paul Goudreau and Jeana Goudreau; two great-grandchildren, Brynne Dakin and Adryiane Dakin; a close companion Spike Hines of Wayne; also special cousins Lynn Cobb, of East Winthrop, and Bill Brann, of Morgantown, Pa. There will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St.,Winthrop. Burial will be at a later date in Glenside Cemetery.
