WEST FORKS PLANTATION- Dominic (Mickey) Gemelli, born August 15, 1932 in Norwood, MA, went to rest at his home, at the age of 84, on February 19, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Besides Dominic’s love for his family he prided himself in being a Registered Maine Guide who loved the outdoors, specializing in bear hunting and trapping. He had the ability to take the animals he loved to hunt and trap and bring them to life through taxidermy for many people to enjoy. Special thanks to Upper Kennebec Valley Ambulance Service, Michelle Eldridge of Redington Hospital, Cedar Ridge, Susan Craigg, 15 Mile Restaurant and numerous friends. Dominic was predeceased by his loving wife, Gladys, in 2007, his brother, Francis Gemelli, and sister, Fran Forysth. He is survived by his children and their partners, Deborah & Ken MacMaster, Robin & Bernard Lint, Carol Hodsdon & Eric Lindholm, Dominic Gemelli Jr., Frances Gutierrez, William Gemelli and Donna Fuller, Bridgette Gemelli, Nancy Beane & Ronald McLaggan, Tony Gemelli & Stacey Guyette; 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; his brothers, Kenneth and Peter Gemelli; and his sisters, Theresa Perez, Ruth Dix and Verna Stauffer. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 26 from 10:00-11:00am at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop where a celebration of Mickey’s life will immediately follow at 11:00am. After the service, all are welcome to attend a reception at Carol and Eric’s, 59 Lindholm Lane, Winthrop. Committal services and interment will be held in the spring at Glenside Cemetery, Turkey Lane, Winthrop. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the West Forks to help support the winter deer feed fund.
