HALLOWELL - Farilyn L. Bennett, 85, of Hallowell died Thursday, June 5, 2008, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. She was born in Hope on July 13, 1922, the daughter of Arthur and Jenny (Hall) Phillips. She grew up in Hope and Camden. She worked at Maplewood Poultry for several years before she started her family. Farilyn was a member of the Rebekahs and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Ms. Bennett was predeceased by her brother, Fred Young. She is survived by five sons, Roy Jackson, of Hallowell, Keith Jackson, of Morrill, Maynard Jackson, of Newcastle, Philip Jackson, of Rockland, and Arthur Jackson, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a daughter, Doris Smalley, of Sanford; a sister, Madeline Dupuis, of Old Town; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lakeside Cemetery in Livermore. Burial will follow.
