Obituary

Manchester, ME. - Frank Cirello, 88, of Kerns Hill Road died Tuesday May 29, 2007 at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta. He was born in Providence RI on August 22, 1918 the son of Frederick and Carolina Cirello. Frank attended Central High School in Providence and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. For most of his life, Frank has worked in the jewelry industry. He was a designer for The Colibri Group in Providence for over 35 years, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed sitting on his porch swing feeding the animals and watching nature. He was also fond of horse racing and made a daily shopping trip to Hannaford. Most of all, Frank enjoyed his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Marie and a son Freddy who both died in 1998, also 6 siblings. He is survived by a daughter Carolina ?Carol? Richard and her husband Gary of Manchester; a brother Joseph Cirello of Pawtucket RI; 4 grandchildren Lisa, Jackiye, Susan and Scott and 12 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting will be held Friday June 1 from 10-11am at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Service, One Church St., Augusta, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00. Pastor Chris Johnson from the Kennebec Community Church, Augusta will officiate. A committal service will be held 1:00 pm Monday June 4 in the chapel at St. Ann?s Cemetery, Cranston St.,Cranston RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to D.A.V. Dept. of Maine, P.O. Box 3415, Augusta ME 04330.
