AUGUSTA - George R. Buzzell, 70, of Augusta died Monday, June 2, 2008, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta. He was born in Palmyra on Feb. 22, 1938, the son of Richard and Ethel (Burrill) Buzzell. He worked at Lipman Poultry until its closing. He then worked at G&E Roofing and Dow Roofing until his retirement. He was a hard worker all of his life. He enjoyed watching 'Wheel of Fortune' and 'Jeopardy!' He loved fishing. He was predeceased by his parents; five brothers; and the love of his life, Naomi I. Buzzell. He is survived by his stepchildren, Tia E. McDaniel and Wilber E. Barrows, who loved him dearly. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, and the staff at Capitol City Manor. Visiting will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, at Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta.
