AUGUSTA - Hilda H. Olson, 89, of Glenridge Drive, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care, Glenridge Drive, Augusta. She was born in Fall River, Mass., on Nov. 11, 1919, the daughter of John and Victoria (Botelho) Pedro. A homemaker for most of her life, Hilda had also worked as a stitcher in a shoe factory and later for Keebler Company in Mansfield, Mass. She enjoyed listening to music and babysitting for family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl Olson Sr., in 1974; a daughter, Patricia Olson in 1995; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by four sons, Carl Olson Jr., Larry Francis Olson, Paul Olson and Harry Olson; three daughters, Sandra Corbett, Joan Olson and Bevley Olson-Hawes; 28 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and two sisters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no visiting hours. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends starting at noon on Saturday, Oct. 3 at her daughter's home at 20 New Street in North Monmouth.
