AUGUSTA - Janette A. Whitehouse, loving mother and grandmother, died on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Thayer Unit, Waterville, after a short illness. She was born in Manchester on July 17, 1928, the daughter of Charles W. and Jesse Belle Trask. She was predeceased by her parents and five brothers and two sisters. She was a 1946 graduate of Cony High School. She attended Bernard's School of Cosmetology and was a beautician for many years in the Augusta area. She managed the hair salon at Adams Department Store on Water Street until the store closed. She is survived by her sons, James Whitehouse and his wife, Shirley, of Augusta, John Whitehouse and his wife, Rose, of Winthrop, and Timothy Whitehouse and his wife, Sonia, of Sanford; four grandchildren, Pamela Whitehouse, of Cambridge, Mass., Jessica Lunt, of Oakland, Adam Whitehouse, of Augusta, and Matthew Whitehouse, of Falmouth; one great-grandson, Justin Lunt, of Oakland; as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a special 'thank you' to our sister-in-law, Sonia, for her loving care. There will be no funeral or visiting hours.
