AUGUSTA - Jean Dooks Northrup, 82, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation & Nursing Care, Glenridge Drive, Augusta. She was born in Orono on Feb. 20, 1926, the daughter of Clarence R. and Dorris (Morrison) Dooks. Jean was predeceased by her first husband, Albert 'Bud' Knowles, and her second husband, Donald Northrup. She is survived by five stepchildren. At Mrs. Northrup's request, there will be no services. A private burial will take place in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery, Belgrade. Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1 Church St., Augusta.
