AUGUSTA - John Thomas Witham, 87, of Augusta died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation & Nursing Care at Glenridge. He was born in Albion on April 23, 1920, the son of George I. And Lilla B. (Norton) Witham. He grew up in Weeks Mills and worked with his father on the family farm and in the woods. Later, he worked with his uncle on his farm. John had a unique sense of humor all of his life. He enjoyed playing beano with his friends at Glenridge. Mr. Witham is survived by two sisters, June Bisbee, of Chelsea, and Pearl Tutor, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; along with several nieces and nephews.
