WINTHROP - Joyce M. Ouellet, 53, died May 26, 2006, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation & Nursing Care, Glenridge Drive, Augusta, after a long courageous battle with cancer. \r\r\n\r\r\nJoyce was born Sept. 11, 1952, in Cambridge, New Brunswick, the daughter of Hazen E. Gallagher and Audrey (Vail) Swantak. \r\r\n\r\r\nJoyce lived in Winthrop for many years, with her husband of 29 years, Edward Ouellet. She enjoyed collecting elephants, tending to her plants and listening to music of all kinds. She loved the pictures of her family that covered her home and she especially loved spending time with her four grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. \r\r\n\r\r\nJoyce was predeceased by her brother, David E. Gallagher. \r\r\n\r\r\nShe is survived by her husband, Edward P. Ouellet and his family in Ashland; two daughters, Tammy D. Whyte of Vassalboro and Trina R. Poulin of Ashland; her grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Adam and Emma; her father, Hazen E. Gallagher of Clearwater, Fla.; her mother, Audrey M. (Vail) Swantak of Holliston, Mass.; a brother, Rickey Gallagher of Framingham, Mass.; a sister, Rhonda McGettigan of Holliston, Mass.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. \r\r\n\r\r\nA burial will take place at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. \r\r\n\r\r\nSympathy may be expressed in the form of donations to PALS Animal Shelter, 188 Case Road, Winthrop, ME 04364. \r\r\n\r\r\nArrangements are by Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop.
