ORLANDO, Fla. ? Julia T. Cooper, 88, formerly of Winthrop, Maine, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, in Orlando. Julia was born in Monmouth, Maine, on June 8, 1915, the daughter of Blaze and Mary Rodzen. She was married to the late Royal Cooper. Mr. and Mrs. Cooper ran their grocery store until they retired in 1965. She was a member of the American Legion and the Winthrop Garden Club, and enjoyed crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Royal E. Cooper. Her surviving family includes two sons, Raymond E. Cooper of Roanoke, Va., and Colby R. Cooper of Pensacola; one daughter, Dorothy Katz of Orlando; one brother, Joseph Rodzen of Fort Lauderdale; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop. Burial and a graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Glenside Cemetery.
