WINTHROP - Leo Lawrence Flagg, 93, of Winthrop, passed away Friday, March 3, 2006, at his home with his daughter at his side. He was born in Mount Vernon on April 13, 1912, the son of William Dennis and Myrtie (Buzzell) Flagg. He attended Winthrop schools. Leo was an avid hunter and fisherman in his younger years. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and watching the birds that he fed daily. He was a member of the Augusta Spiritualist Church. Mr. Flagg worked for Bath Iron Works and Hazzard Shoe for more than 40 years. He retired from Central Maine Power Co. in 1979, after 10 years of service. Leo was predeceased by his wife, Mae Flagg, who died in July 1999, and a son, William Flagg; his twin brother, Theo 'Lewis' Flagg; and sisters, Leah Kenney, Lillian Kaherle and Lilly Flagg. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Larrabee and her companion, William Blakely, of Winthrop; a son, Carl Flagg of Pennsylvania and his companion, Annie Roscher, of New Jersey; a brother, Robert Flagg, and his wife, Pauline, of Winthrop; a sister-in-law, Bertha Bouchard of East Holden; grandchildren, Michael Larrabee and his wife, Sheryl, of Augusta, Jill Flagg of Pennsylvania, Carl Flagg of Connecticut and Nancy Lee Schneider of Wisconsin; great-grandchildren, Amanda Larrabee and Justin Larrabee of Augusta and Crystal Martz of Searsmont, six other great-grandchildren, three from Connecticut and three from Wisconsin, along with several great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may visit 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
