NORTH MONMOUTH ~ M. Jacqueline Wing, 77, of North Monmouth, died peacefully Sunday March 18, 2018 at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta with family by her side. Jackie was born in Augusta, August 27, 1940 the daughter of Armand and Eleanor (Libby) St. Hilaire. She grew up in Winthrop and was a 1958 graduate of Winthrop High School. She was the oldest of five brothers and one sister, making her the strong-willed, competitive and humorous person she was. She married Reynold “Turk” Wing in 1960 and together they raised three daughters. For many years when the girls were young she enjoyed camping at Moosehead, boating, snowmobiling, ice fishing and skating. She spent many hours gardening. She was happiest when the family gathered in the backyard to have a cookout and swim. You could always count on her for many laughs. In recent years Jackie enjoyed genealogy including visiting cemeteries where her ancestors were buried. For many years she helped her brother Tete place flags on veterans’ graves for Memorial Day. She was a history buff, especially the Civil War era. She was a member of the Monmouth Museum and volunteered there often. She also enjoyed reading, completing puzzles, visiting lighthouses, watching the Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots and was also an avid fan of Jeopardy. Jackie worked for many years at Chick Orchards. After leaving Chicks, she worked at Alternative Manufacturing until her retirement. Jackie was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Stephen “Tete” St. Hilaire.
