Obituary

RANDOLPH - Mary Ann Vinton, 51, of Randolph died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. She was born in Augusta on Sept. 3, 1957, the daughter of Thomas and Patricia (Moody) Boucher. Mary grew up in Hallowell and lived there most of her life. She was a graduate of Hall-Dale High School. Mary worked for several years after high school as a bookkeeper and data entry clerk for the state of Maine. She took several years off work to care for her grandmother and, later, her father, in their last years. Mary had worked most recently as a bookkeeper at an auto auction. Mrs. Vinton was an excellent artist and enjoyed crafting. She loved to read and learn new things and very much enjoyed time in the outdoors. Mary loved her family and friends and really her time with them. She also loved animals, especially her dog, Chip. Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Edward; her daughter, Melissa Spatafore and her husband, Robert, of Randolph; her brothers, Howard Boucher and his wife, Lisa, of Chelsea, and Carl Boucher, of Portland; her stepgrandchildren, Monica Spatafore and Chelsea Martin; and her niece, Christine Pushard and her husband, Jamie. A memorial celebration of Mary's life will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta.
