AUGUSTA - Marylyn E. Neil, 81, formerly of Farmingdale, died Thursday, July 1, 2010, in Augusta. She was born in Augusta on Sept. 23, 1928, the daughter of Thomas and Mildred (Glidden) Donnelly. She grew up in Randolph and graduated from the Kennebec School of Commerce. Marylyn worked for 23 years for the adjutant general of the Maine National Guard. She was married to James Neil in 1952; he died in 1991. She was a member of the Post 40 American Legion Auxiliary in Winthrop. In addition to her husband, Marylyn was predeceased by two sisters, Frances Lemar and Mary Foster. She is survived by her brother, Robert Donnelly, of Richmond; her aunt, Arlene Hendrickson, of Dunedin, Fla.; two nieces, Ann Clark, of West Gardiner, and Rosemary Foster, of Litchfield; a nephew, Dennis Foster and his wife, Linda, of Gardiner; along with several grandnieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Augusta.
