WINTHROP - Maxine Brawn Lindholm, 75, died Saturday, April 24, 2010, at the Hospice House in Auburn surrounded by her family.
Maxine was born March 23, 1935, in Augusta, the daughter of Henry and Leona (Taylor) Brawn.
She grew up in Augusta and graduated from Cony High School in 1953. In 1956, she married Harland Lindholm and they moved to Winthrop, where they made their home and raised their family. After working at Wilson's Dollar Stores for 18 years, Maxine was employed by Downeast Pharmacy for several years and then by Key Bank before she retired.
She enjoyed cooking and having her family all together for family gatherings. She also enjoyed traveling and was a passionate New England Patriot's fan.
She was predeceased by her parents; one brother, Cal Brown; and three sisters, Margerie Thomas, Gloria Brawn, and Nancy Flowers.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 54 years, Harland Lindholm, of Winthrop; her two daughters, Debra Delisle of Winthrop and Linda Cotnoir and her husband, Jeff, of Augusta, and her son, Eric Lindholm and his fianc?e, Carol Hodsdon, of Winthrop; two brothers, Donald Brawn, and his wife, Juliette, and Clifton Brawn, all of Augusta; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial graveside celebration of Maxine's life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 30, in Glenside Cemetery, Winthrop.
