WINTHROP - Michael C. Jones Sr., 54, of Mount Pisgah Road died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Waterville. He was born in Haverhill, Mass., on May 28, 1953, the son of James and Mary (LaBlanc) Jones. Michael graduated from Haverhill High School and had worked as a carpenter for the Carpenters Local Union in Massachusetts. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, country music and NASCAR. Most of all, Michael enjoyed spending time with his family and being at his camp on East Grand Lake. He was a member of the Maine Big Buck Club and Boone and Crockett. He is survived by a longtime companion, Beulah Evans of Winthrop; a son, Mike Jones Jr. and his companion, Suzanna Brennan, of Winthrop; his father, James Jones Jr. of Bedford, Mass.; stepsons Waldon Linnelle and his companion, Lisa Morin, and Norman Linnell and his wife, Donna, both of Albion; his sisters, Carol Belanger of Groveland, Mass., and Ann Marie McKenna and her husband, George, of Somerville, Mass.; six stepgrandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Winthrop.
