LITCHFIELD ? Millard C. Hayden, 68, of Litchfield died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2002, in Augusta. He was born in Parkman, March 12, 1934, the son of Philip and Alice (Gilman) Hayden. He grew up in the Parkman area, attended Piscataquis Community High School and later graduated from the University of Maine in Orono. Millard served four years in the Air Force attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He worked for many years as an electrical engineer for Central Maine Power Co. and later for Bangor Hydroelectric until his retirement. In his spare time, Millard enjoyed flying and fishing. Mr. Hayden is survived by his wife, Sherill (Giordano) Hayden; two sons, Jonathan Hayden and his wife, Victoria, of Crestview, Fla., and Matthew Hayden of Litchfield; a daughter, Christina Scott and her husband, Walter, of San Francisco; a brother, Larry Hayden and his wife, Marilyn, of Jupiter, Fla.; a sister, Linda Graham of Shirley Mills; and three grandchildren, Walter F. Scott IV, Bryce Hayden and Alexandria Hayden, along with several nieces and nephews. All services are private. Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, Augusta.
