?AST WINTHROP - Nancy M. Larrabee, 77, of South Road died unexpectedly on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. She was born in Augusta on Oct. 14, 1932, the daughter of Leo and Evelyn Flagg. Nancy graduated from Cony High School and had worked as a bookkeeper for Bangor Hydro & Electric, Hazzard Shoe and Taylor Shoe, and retired in 1977 as a financial analyst from the Maine Municipal Association. She had served on the board of directors at the Kennebec Federal Credit Union. Nancy was a member of Augusta Spiritualist Church. She enjoyed dancing, crossword puzzles and listening to the Rockit Band. She had a love of animals, and will especially miss her cat, Skeeter. She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Larrabee; and a brother, William Flagg. She is survived by a son, Michael Larrabee and his wife, Sheryl, of Augusta; her brothers, Charles 'Skip' Wheeler, of Readfield, and Carl Flagg, of Morristown, Pa.; three grandchildren, Amanda Larrabee, of Augusta, Crystal Martz, of Searsmont, and Justin Larrabee, of Augusta; her longtime companion, William Blakely, of East Winthrop, and his family; three great-grandchildren; a special little friend, Bradley Gowell; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. Nancy will be especially missed by her granddaughter, Amanda, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond that will last forever. Visiting will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta, followed by a celebration of her life at 7 p.m. The Rev Earl Wallace, pastor of the Augusta Spiritualist Church, will officiate.
