WINTHROP ? Olive Moore, 89, passed away June 30, 2002, from Alzheimer's disease at Clover Manor in Auburn. She was born in Carlingford, New Brunswick, Nov. 29, 1912, the daughter of George Baker and Nellie Turner Baker. She was a 1932 graduate of Winthrop High School. She married Lloyd S. Moore on March 10, 1934 in Winthrop, where she was a longtime resident of Metcalf Road. She was a homemaker, care-giver and nanny, caring for local children and the terminally ill. She enjoyed her family, her extended family and sports, especially baseball and basketball. She enjoyed her grandchildren and being outside with her flower garden. In 1999, she sold her home in Winthrop and went to live with her daughter Patricia in Gray. She remained there until 2000, when she became a resident of Clover Manor in Auburn. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd. S. Moore, who died Sept. 27, 1974. She is survived by a son, George A Moore Sr. of Winthrop; and a daughter, Mrs. Rick (Patricia) McDevitt of Gray; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. There will be no visiting hours. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop. Burial will follow at Glenside Cemetery in Winthrop.
