At a young age, the family moved to Ohio where she graduated from Euclid High School in 1956 and received a degree in art from Baldwin Wallace College in Cleveland. She had worked at the Cleveland Clinic for seven years before raising a family. She taught ceramics for 25 years in her own studio and volunteered at the Geauga Senior Center for 23 years, also teaching her ceramics. She was an avid Disney and figure skating fan. Pam loved animals, especially dogs, and had worked at Geauga Humane Society and was a receptionist at Tyler Animal Clinic. She was also a 4-H adviser in Mentor, Ohio. In 2008, she moved to Maine to be closer to her daughter. She was a very supportive mother to her children: John Chip Homer, of Mentor, Ohio, Christopher John Homer, of Wierton, W.Va., and Cynthia Dawn Homer and her spouse, Christine Durgin, of Augusta. She is also survived by a sister, Karen Louise Urich, of South Russell, Ohio; a niece, Kathyrn Wat, and her husband, Thomas, and a grandniece, Ellie Wat, all of Fairfax, Va. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time to be announced. Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1 Church St., Augusta, where memories, condolences and photos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the website at www.khrfuneralhomes.com.
