WINTHROP - Pearle T. Tyler, 92, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. She was born in Winthrop on Aug. 4, 1916, the daughter of the late Clifton and Mary (Sandborn) Titus. Pearle was educated in Winthrop schools. She was employed with Globe Albany for many years and, even after she was no longer working for them, enjoyed attending their annual employee gatherings for many years to follow. She married Cecil Tyler in 1937 and they celebrated 63 years together shortly before Cecil's passing on Sept. 30, 2000. They were very active in the Hillandalers Snowmobile Club and, most of all, enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Although they never had children of their own, Pearle and Cecil were extremely generous, loving and giving of themselves when it came to their nieces and nephews. Pearle will be dearly missed by her sister, Ruby Baker, of Winthrop, and her many beloved nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop.
