WATERVILLE ? Peggy Brann Damborg, RN, died Friday, July 5, 2002, at the Woodlands in Waterville. She was born in Lewiston, Feb. 3, 1919, the daughter of Dr. Oscar and Eva (Twaddle) Brann. Peggy grew up in the Augusta area, graduating from Cony High School in 1937. She went on to attend Central Maine School of Nursing in Lewiston, graduating in 1940, and Chapin School of Infectious Diseases in Providence, R.I. Peggy worked as a general and private duty nurse at the Lewiston and Augusta hospitals. She was a state health nurse for the Department of Human Services for a time, worked as a boarding home nurse in Augusta and Hallowell, and later was a duty nurse at Kents Hill School. Peggy was a member of the Maine State Nurses Association and South Parish Congregational Church. Ms. Damborg is survived by her son, Kirk M. Damborg and his wife, Patricia, of Augusta; a daughter, Karen Hinson and her husband, Jay, of Robbinston; a twin sister, Elizabeth (Betty) White, of Farmington; her grandchildren, Heather Allen of Massachusetts, Wendy Allen Dorchester of South Carolina, Morgan Damborg of Augusta and Cattima Ellsmore of Augusta; her great-granddaughter, Tiffany Lynn Bechard of Augusta; her nieces, Judy Brann Leadly of Rangley and Toby White Levine of New York; a nephew, Charles White of Farmington; and her many friends at Woodlands Center in Waterville. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Augusta. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to HealthReach Home Care and Hospice, 212 Main Street, Waterville 04901. Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, Augusta.
