Obituary

Manchester - Priscilla F. Hopkins, 82, of Lindenbrook Park died Saturday December 30, 2006 at Augusta Rehabilitation and Nursing Care. She was born in Gardiner on December 13, 1924 the daughter of Bernard and Marion (Olson) Burns. Priscilla graduated from Gardiner High School, class of 1943. A homemaker for most of her life, she helped her husband Albert start Hopkins Florist in Manchester, and later worked as a clerk at their store on Water Street in Augusta. She attended St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Augusta. Priscilla was predeceased by her husband Albert Hopkins in 2000, a sister Kay Wyman and a brother Bernard Burns. She is survived by 3 sons; Stephen F. Hopkins of Waterville, Gary B. Hopkins and his wife Elizabeth Ann of Manchester, James A, Hopkins and his wife Lynn of Monmouth; 2 sisters Rita George of Hampton VA., and Nancy Farnsworth of Las Vegas, NV.; 4 grandchildren Ryan Albert Hopkins, Matthew Gary Hopkins, Todd Michael Hopkins all of Manchester, Joey Albert Hopkins of Monmouth; 2 special sisters-in-law Edwidge Hopkins and Barbara Hubbard, both of Gardiner; a special niece Laurie, also several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held 1:pm Friday, January 5, in the chapel at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta, with Rev. Louis J. Phillips officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Service, One Church St., Augusta.
