EAST WINTHROP - Raymond E. Regnier Sr., 66, of East Winthrop died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009. He was born April 24, 1943, at Ft. Benning, Ga., the son of Ernest and Anita (Wisell) Regnier. He grew up in Marlborough, Mass., and worked in Massachusetts for many years as a truck driver for Mobil Oil. In 1983, he moved to Maine and, along with his wife, Corinna, owned and operated the Winthrop Motel until his retirement. Raymond was predeceased by his parents; and his twin sister, Charlotte Giles. He is survived by his wife, Corinna (Ellis) Regnier; his daughter, Michelle Lachapelle and her husband, Richard, of Wayne; his son, Raymond Regnier Jr., of Winthrop; his brother, Roy Regnier and his wife, Patricia, of Florida; along with several nieces and nephews. A private family celebration of Ray's life will take place at a later date.
