AUGUSTA - Robert Henry Wilder, 75, of Augusta and Anchorage, Alaska, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at Maine Medical Center. He was born in Gardiner on March 13, 1935, the son of Hilda Foote. Bob entered the U.S. Air Force in 1955 and served for more than 20 years, before leaving the service in 1977. After his retirement from the Air Force, Bob went to work for the city of Anchorage and continued there for many years as a truck driver. Mr. Wilder enjoyed traveling in his motor home and made the trip to Maine several times. He also enjoyed collecting coins. There will be no visitation or funeral.
