HALLOWELL ? Ruth Frances York, 60, of Hallowell died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. She was born in Augusta, Dec. 14, 1942, the daughter of George and Della (Josselyn) McCall. Ruth grew up in Augusta and attended Augusta schools. She was the Town Clerk in Randolph for 10 years and most recently worked at the Kennebec County Registry of Deeds. Mrs. York enjoyed camping, crocheting and reading. She especially enjoyed traveling on a motorcycle with her husband. Ruth is survived by her husband, Richard York; two sons, Roger York and his wife, Terry, of California, and Russell York and his fiancee, Nancy, of Chelsea; a daughter, Donna York of Hallowell; a sister, Martha Camire of New Hampshire; five grandchildren, Michael and Kristina York, and Robert, Eric and Tommy. There will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held at the Libby Hill Cemetery in Gardiner in the spring.
