WINTHROP - Sandra Eileen Lindsey, 34, died at home with family by her side on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009, after courageously living with breast cancer for seven years. She was born April 26, 1974, in Newtown, Pa., the youngest of six children of Raymond A. Lindsey and Eileen (Thoren) Passerin. Sandra spent much of her childhood in Bucks County, Pa., and Palm Harbor, Fla., where she lived from the age of 14, until this past November when she moved to Winthrop. During her life, she pursued a strong interest in animals as a veterinary technician. She was especially passionate about wolves, and had a love for the outdoors, photography and writing poetry. Of the things that mattered most to Sandra was her 14-year-old son, Chav?, whom she admiringly nurtured and loved. She was a devoted single parent. Many people were blessed to have Sandra in their lives. She is survived by her son, Chav? Hill; father, Raymond A. Lindsey and his wife, Christina Gill-Lindsey, of Winthrop; her mother, Eileen (Thoren) Passerin, of Palm Harbor; grandmother Eileen Bradshaw, of Palm Harbor; four brothers, Raymond T. Lindsey, of Palm Harbor, Thomas Lindsey and Brian Lindsey and his wife, Jody Holmes, all of Tinton Falls, N.J., and Benjamin Lindsey, of Winthrop; two sisters, Jennifer Wimer, of Palm Harbor, and Barbara Doering and her husband, Cabot, of Bryn Athyn, Pa.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no visiting hours. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Augusta.
