AUGUSTA - Shirley Ann Caswell Truman, 66, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation & Nursing Care, Glenridge Drive, Augusta. She was born in Gardiner on June 30, 1944, the daughter of Harry and Altina (Blair) Caswell. Shirley was very involved with Alcoholics Anonymous, helping many others with their addictions over the years, and where she herself had celebrated 31 years of sobriety. Shirley was predeceased by a son, Louis Wentworth. She is will be dearly missed by a son, Richard Bey, of Portland; two brothers, Richard Caswell, of Skowhegan, and Robert Caswell, of Waterville; a sister, Dorothy 'Dot' Brann, of Augusta; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no visiting hours or funeral service at this time. At her request, Shirley will be cremated and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held in the spring.
