Monmouth - Thomas E. Clements, Sr., 68, died at his home on September 12, 2010. He was born March 25, 1942 in Winterport, Maine the son of Theodore and Grace (Knowles) Clements. He attended grammar school in the Winterport area and attended high school at Glen Cove Christian Academy, later going on to college at Alahain Bible Institute in New York. Tom lived in the Mount Vernon and Monmouth area most of his life. Tom worked for Central Maine Power Company as a civil engineer for 22 years. His most recent job was with the Monmouth School Department as a bus driver. Tom loved working with the children and thought a lot of his co-workers. Tom was a devoted family man and always enjoyed a ?family party?. He was a practical joker. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Tom?s family was blessed to have him. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and nature. Tom was predeceased by his mother and father, sister Margaret Lockhart, brother Teddy Clements and twin brother Tim Clements. Tom is survived by his wife Susan of Monmouth; sons, Tom, Jr. and his wife Tammy and Todd and his wife Mary Jo, all of Mt. Vernon and Blaine Carver and his wife Sarah of Cundy?s Harbor; daughters, Tami Pelletier and her husband David, Heidi Balfour and her husband Bruce, all of Monmouth; brother, George Clements of Island Falls and sister, Florence Brown of Belfast; Toms grandchildren who brought great joy to his life, Blake Clements and his wife Shannon, Katy Clements, Nikki Clements, Evan Clements, Angela Clements, Kyle Pelletier and his wife Heather, Richard Pelletier and his fianc? Amy Hobson, Caitlin Carver, Payton Carver, and Mackenzi Burgess; special niece Nan Gagnon and her son Mike Lindholm; and close friend Doug Burgess. A gathering of friends and relatives will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop where a memorial celebration of Tom?s life will be held Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Because of Tom?s love for children the family requests that memorial donations in his memory be made to the Henry L.
